ASES-After School Education and Safety Program
365体育网址 The ASES After School Education and Safety Program is offered at Woodbridge and Cirby Elementary Schools and is open to Kindergarten through fifth-grade students. It is funded through a grant from the State of California. The Program is offered to parents at no-cost and serves students every day after school until 6:00 p.m.
365体育网址 The ASES program is aligned with the content of the regular school day. A safe physical and emotional environment, as well as opportunities for relationship building, is provided to participants of the program. The program consists of the two elements below and ASES program leaders work closely with school site principals and staff to integrate both elements with the school’s curriculum, instruction, and learning support activities.
An educational and literacy element that provides tutoring and/or homework assistance designed to help students meet state standards.
An educational enrichment element that includes but is not limited to, positive youth development strategies, recreation and prevention activities. Such activities might involve the visual and performing arts, music, physical activity, health/nutrition promotion, and general recreation.
Admission to the Roseville City School District’s ASES Program is based upon parental commitment to the program requirements and attendance at either Cirby or Woodbridge elementary schools. A Parent Orientation must be attended before admittance into the program. Each program site establishes a waiting list and students are invited to enroll as space becomes available.
Students must attend ASES on a daily basis unless absent from school. If absent from school, students may not attend on the day absent. Excessive absences from ASES may result in students being dropped from the program. Students must attend ASES Monday through Friday for at least 3 hours per day.
365体育网址 ASES is funded by a state grant that is meant to serve students who most need this after-school program. Therefore, excessive requests for early release for other activities may lead to the student being dropped from the Program. Students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. Repeated late pick-ups may result in your student losing their spot in ASES.
365体育网址 We support and encourage open communication. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please make an appointment to talk with the Team Leader and /or ASES Director.
